An accident can always ruin a good time. If it does, your health insurance will help cover doctors’ costs and medical treatments. What it doesn’t cover is on you. This is when Accident insurance kicks in. The valuable layer of protection from Accident insurance can reduce the costs and inconveniences of a mishap. It could make a huge difference when your family needs it most. Get covered today, and rest easy tomorrow.
Accident insurance pays you a lump sum cash benefit to help cover your out-of-pocket expenses so you can focus more on getting well and less on the extra expenses an accident can bring. Plus, getting coverage is easy and affordable with:
Both of the Accident insurance plan options available to you also pay an additional 25%, up to $2,000 per year, for a covered accident incurred while playing in an organized amateur sport activity with formal registration (such as with a town soccer team, work softball league, or church sponsored basketball league).

What is Accident insurance?
With Accident insurance, you’ll receive a cash benefit for each covered injury and related services. You can use the payment in any way you choose, from expenses not covered by your major medical plan to day-to-day costs of living such as your mortgage or utility bills.
Life has its ups and downs, and you never know when you’ll need extra support. That’s why The Hartford partners with your employer to offer you voluntary benefits – what we call “voluntary insurance coverages.” Think of our plans as a safety net, ready to help you in tough times, like if you become sick or get into a bad accident.
You can choose what you want by selecting the benefits that are right for your needs. And you’ll likely pay less than usual because you’re buying them through your employer’s group plan.
